NIPCO spearheads Nigeria’s energy revolution with CNG investment

NIPCO PLC is making significant strides in promoting Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as a cleaner alternative to traditional fossil fuels, aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda on energy transition.
NIPCO’ s Managing Director, Suresh Kumar, who disclosed this on the sidelines of the recently concluded Annual General Meeting of the company held at Abuja Continental Hotel, explained that the company has recognized the potential of gas as an auto fuel for over 15 years and is now poised to intensify its investment in CNG infrastructure nationwide.
“NIPCO’s partnership with the government to bolster CNG infrastructure nationwide will enable more motorists and industrial users to benefit from the economic and environmental benefits of gas utilization,” he said.
According to him, the company’s investment in CNG infrastructure will drive growth and profitability while prioritizing sustainability and social responsibility.
“NIPCO’s commitment to sustainability will continue to drive its growth and success, with plans to optimize processes, reinforce internal controls, and enhance brand visibility” the MD stated.
According to him, NIPCO’s workforce has demonstrated dedication and perseverance, driving the company’s growth trajectory.
