Liverpool have rejected a formal €67.5 million (£58.6m) offer from Bayern Munich for winger Luis Diaz, according to a report by David Ornstein on Tuesday.

The Colombia international, 28, has emerged as a top target for the German giants, who submitted their first official bid on Tuesday. However, the Premier League champions immediately turned it down.

Liverpool are understood to value Diaz at upwards of €100 million — though that figure is reportedly for accounting purposes rather than an indication that the club intends to sell.

According to Ornstein, the club’s current stance remains firm; Diaz is not for sale.

“The former Porto attacker is into the final 24 months of his contract at Anfield. To date, there has been no sign of an extension — and Diaz has made clear to the club he wants to leave.

That said, he is viewed by Liverpool as an important part of their plans for next season and beyond — which has been made clear to Bayern, Barcelona and other interested parties,” the report noted.

Diaz joined Liverpool from Porto in January 2022 for an initial fee of £37.5 million, with add-ons taking the potential total to £50 million. Since then, he has made 148 appearances, scoring 41 goals and providing 23 assists across all competitions.

Under manager Arne Slot, Diaz played a pivotal role in Liverpool’s 2024–25 Premier League title triumph, netting 13 goals in 36 league matches.
