Tinubu’s ideologies, politics, should be institutionised –Support group

The Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT) Ideological Group a support group for President Bola Tinubu, has called for efforts towards institutionising his politics, ideologies and legacies.

The Convener, Mr Bamidele Atoyebi, made the call in an interview with newsmen on Wednesday in Lagos.

According to Atoyebi, Tinubu is not only a politician, but an institution that should be studied.

“We need to make sure that we institutionalise his politics, ideologies and political legacies,” he said.

Atoyebi, who noted that the group had launched a handbook entitled, “Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT) Ideological Group Handbook,” praised Tinubu for being an enigma.

“We want to make sure that we raise as many people as we can that will also have his kind of spirit of leadership, spirit of generosity, spirit of humanity, spirit of service, among others.

“With our handbook launched few days ago, we are not just only working toward his re-election, we are working toward building as many young men and women, youthful Nigerians who will understand who Bola Ahmed Tinubu is.

“Tinubu is a man who believes in generosity, a man who believes in principle of service, a man who believes in humility, a man who is courageous and a man who is politically rugged.

“He is a man who can take tough decisions, a man who believes in progressive ideas, a man who wants good governance for all,” Atoyebi said.

On Tinubu’s performance in the last two years, Atoyebi said that the President had exceeded the expectations of many Nigerians.

“He has even done so much and he deserves to continue, with his reforms and various interventions and policies, putting the country on track.,” he said.

He listed some of his notable interventions to include fuel subsidy removal, stabilisation of foreign exchange, road infrastructure, debt management, student loans and others.

On how the group would achieve its goals, the convener said that the group had coordinators in most states of the federation.

“We have started the sensitisation. In this movement we have more than 100 professors, we have more than 100 engineers, we have more than 100 medical doctors,we have elitist people.

“So, that vision and ideologies of Tinubu are what we want to spread such that even when ‘Baba’ leaves this world, these ideologies will continue.

“This is not a regular support group. It is a platform for anybody, who claims to be Tinubu’s protege, to have deep a understanding about who Tinubu is.
