FG appoints NACCIMA member Alhaji Dalhatu Abubakar as Chairman NCX

*NACCIMA applauds Tinubu,  congratulates the new chairman

The President and members of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), have commended the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing it’s members, Alhaji Dahatu Abubakar as the Chairman of the Nigeria Commodity Exchange (NCX) Board.

Dalhatu Abubakar is a prominent Nigerian entrepreneur and business leader from Kano State, strongly associated with the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA).

He had served as President of the Kano Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KACCIMA). He also leads the regional Chamber movement as President Conference of Northern States Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (CONSCCIMA).

Alhaji Dalhatu Abubakar is a widely respected figure in Nigeria’s business landscape. He is Chairman of Al-Hamsad Integrated Rice Mills, driving key initiatives in rice processing, agribusiness, and food security. He also mentors upcoming entrepreneurs especially in Northern Nigeria.

The presidency said his appointment is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s commodity trading ecosystem, enhance price discovery, improve market transparency, and drive the expansion of non-oil exports in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Dalhatu was appointed alongside other members to constitute the NCX Board.

The National President of NACCIMA, Engr. Jani Ibrahim, mni, OON, has meanwhile extended warm congratulations to Alhaji Dalhatu Abubakar on the key appointment.

The NACCIMA President thanked President Tinubu, noting the appointment underscores the importance his administration attaches to the Chamber movement.

Engr. Jani Ibrahim maintained that NACCIMA remains a critical partner of the President in the journey of economic transformation and delivering renewed hope to the citizens.

He urged Alhaji Dalhatu Abubakar to justify the confidence reposed in him by the President and be a great ambassador of NACCIMA in the role.
