Global Influence Continental Church (GICC) will celebrate its fourth anniversary with a three-day programme from Friday, August 21, to Sunday, August 23, 2026, at its church auditorium in Ikate-Elegushi, Lekki, Lagos.

The anniversary, themed “Great Is Thy Faithfulness,” is drawn from Lamentations 3:22–23 and will bring together church members, ministers, workers, families and guests for a weekend of prayer, worship, spiritual renewal, ministerial development and thanksgiving.

A major feature of the anniversary is the launch of a ₦35 million fundraising campaign for the development of a Junior Church and Administrative Building. The project has been adopted as the anniversary’s legacy initiative and is intended to strengthen GICC’s ministry to children while providing improved administrative facilities to support the church’s continuing growth.

The celebration will begin on Friday, August 21, at 10:00 p.m. with an all-night vigil described as a Night of Breakthrough. The vigil will feature intensive prayer, praise and worship, the ministry of the Word, deliverance and intercession for individuals, families, the Church and the nation.

Guest minister for the vigil is Apostle Rotimi Temituro of Zion Apostles Ministry, Lagos, Nigeria.

On Saturday, August 22, at 2:00 p.m., GICC will host a special Workers and Ministers Conference under the theme “Making Full Proof of Your Ministry,” based on 2 Timothy 4:5.

The conference is designed to equip pastors, ministers, church workers and emerging Christian leaders for faithful, effective and sustainable ministry. It will address the minister’s calling, character, spiritual resilience, evangelistic responsibility and the need to demonstrate credible evidence of God’s grace through faithful service.

The conference is open to ministers and church workers from GICC as well as other churches and ministries.

The anniversary will culminate on Sunday, August 23, at 10:00 a.m., with a special Anniversary Thanksgiving Service. The service will feature praise and worship, testimonies, thanksgiving, the ministry of the Word, prayers for a new season and the formal presentation of the anniversary legacy project.

Guest minister for the thanksgiving service is Pastor Dr. Tosin Oladapo, Senior Pastor of GOFAMINT Glory House, Dallas, Texas, USA.

Speaking ahead of the celebration, the Global Lead Pastor of GICC, Rev. Sola Adebawo, described the anniversary as both an opportunity to acknowledge God’s sustaining grace and a moment to prepare the church for its next phase of ministry.

“Our fourth anniversary is first and foremost a testimony to the faithfulness of God. Through every season, He has preserved the vision, strengthened the church and continued to transform lives. We are gathering not merely to mark the passage of time, but to thank God for what He has done and to position ourselves for what He will do next.”

According to him, the programme has been deliberately structured around three important dimensions of Christian life and ministry: personal encounter, effective service and corporate thanksgiving.

“Friday night will be a time of prayer and spiritual encounter. Saturday will focus on equipping workers and ministers to fulfil their calling with faithfulness and excellence. On Sunday, we will gather as one family to return all the glory to God and enter a new season with renewed faith and expectation.”

Rev. Adebawo explained that the Junior Church and Administrative Building Fund represents the congregation’s desire to commemorate the anniversary with an enduring investment in the next generation and the future capacity of the ministry.

“We want this anniversary to leave more than memories. Our children require a safe, suitable and inspiring environment in which they can learn God’s Word, grow in faith and discover their purpose. The administrative component will also provide the institutional support required for the church to serve people more effectively as it grows.”

He added that GICC is seeking to raise ₦35 million through the generous and voluntary contributions of members, friends, partners and organisations that identify with the vision.

“This is a legacy project. We are inviting individuals, families and partners to help us build for the next generation. Every contribution, irrespective of size, will bring us closer to creating an environment in which children can be nurtured spiritually and the work of the ministry can be administered more effectively.”

Members of the public are invited to attend the anniversary programmes with their families, friends and colleagues. Individuals and organisations wishing to support the legacy project may contact the church through its official communication platforms for further information.

The fourth anniversary celebration will be hosted by Rev. Sola Adebawo and Pastor Bukky Sola-Adebawo.
