The Country Director, Global Peace Foundation of Nigerian, Rev John Hayab has described the death of Queen Elizabeth II as departure of a mother of Peace.
Hayab stated this in a condolence message on Thursday in Kaduna.
The Queen Elizabeth II was born at the Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor, in Mayfair, London, on April 21, 1926.
The late Queen Elizabeth, who ascended to the throne in 1952, died on Thursday following health challenges at the age of 96 after 70 years on the throne.
According to him, Queen Elizabeth II worked tirelessly for the peace and unity of the global community.
“She encouraged the Commonwealth of Nations to learn from each other and support one another, by so, reducing conflicts.
Hayab said that in one of the late Queen’s speech at the United Nations, celebrated the contributions of science and technology and ascribed the progress as a collective human progress not from people of one continent or colour, but a collective human achievement.
“A message that the Global Peace Foundation is spreading and wishes to see that the world achieve through her One Family Under God campaign, a value based peace building message that promotes human dignity, equality and our intrinsic connection.
“Remarkably, many of these sweeping advances in science and technology have come about not because of governments, committee resolutions, or central directives.
“Although, all these have played a part but instead, because millions of people around the world have wanted them.
“The world will surely miss her motherly love, counsel, and contributions in many areas of human development.
“But her legacy of peace, dialogue and respect for human dignity will continue to help in shaping the world toward unity and peaceful coexistence,”Hayab said.
