Investors seek Sanwo-Olu’s intervention in land allocation

Land allottees under the aegis of the Orisan Waterfront Residential Scheme have called on the governor of Lagos State to allocate land to those who had completed payment in the housing scheme.
The allottees, in a statement, stressed the need for the state government to allocate lands to allottees of the Orisan Waterfront Residential scheme who had made full payment, to consolidate the gains of infrastructure in the Lagos metropolis.
According to the group, the allocation of assets and resources to private sectors and investors in the state would quicken development and unlock growth potential to boost the state economy for good by providing a level playing ground for businesses and investment to thrive.
The allottees, meanwhile, lauded Sanwo-Olu for his infrastructural milestone and corporate governance policy, noting that this had largely reflected on private investments within the economic corridors of Lagos State.
The group pledged their support for the governor’s second term bid, because of performance in terms of infrastructure development, job creation and public amenities.
The Chairman of Allottees of Orisan Waterfront Residential Scheme, Ayinde Rasak, said the governor had attended to the group’s complaints.
He said, “The group’s complaint of non-allocation of land appropriation matters measuring 720 square meters to the allottees who had fully paid up with the prescribed fees since 2013, by directing the appropriate agencies to act fast on the complaint and ensuring that due diligence was applied to the request from the group.”
While urging the state officials to join efforts with the governor to deepen corporate governance and consolidate economic prosperity, the allottees appealed to the governor to expedite action on their land appropriation.
