ACPPN hosts 2026 congress on enhancing service delivery through protocol

The Association of Certified Protocol Practitioners in Nigeria (ACPPN) is holding its 2026 National Congress on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Civic Center, Victoria Island, Lagos, starting at 11:00 a.m.

With the theme, “Protocol as a Catalyst for Effective Service Delivery in Nigeria: Public Sector, Corporate, Diplomatic, and Technology,” the Congress aims to highlight the critical role of protocol in driving efficiency, professionalism, and excellence across key sectors.

The event will bring together experts from government, corporate organisations, and the diplomatic circles, particularly, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ECOWAS Commission, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Nigerian Maritime and Safety Administration notable Oil and Gas Companies, and a host of organisations and institutions to share insights on best practices, emerging trends, and innovative approaches to service delivery.

In a statement issued by Kemebradikumo Franca Akpi Director of Events and Chairperson of the organising committee, the Congress will feature a keynote speech, panel discussions, and interactive sessions designed to promote capacity building and cross-sector collaboration.

The association will also hold its Annual General Meeting to discuss membership engagement and growth, collaboration, repositioning, and the induction of new members into the body.

ACPPN, Nigeria’s foremost Protocol organisation, reaffirmed its commitment to advancing professional standards and strengthening institutional frameworks through effective protocol practice.

The statement invites stakeholders, media practitioners, and protocol professionals to attend.

In his remarks, the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at FAAN, Henry Agbebire, has urged Nigerians to adopt protocol as a culture to achieve better results.
He noted that while FAAN plays a key role in airport service delivery, effective collaboration among stakeholders is essential to improve services. FAAN also provides high-level protocol services, especially for travellers.
Agbebire explained that embedding protocol into everyday practices would enhance standards and outcomes across the system.
He added that FAAN recently introduced a culture transformation programme built on five pillars to improve time management, resource use, staff performance, and customer experience. Three of these pillars—professionalism, excellence, and effective service delivery—focus on core protocol principles and have already driven positive changes within the organisation.
He emphasised the need for stronger stakeholder synergy and support for initiatives that promote protocol as a standard practice, noting that without this cultural shift, progress will remain limited.
