The Chief Missioner of Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society, NASFAT, Imam Abdul-Azeez Onike, has enjoined Nigerians to join hands with government on nation building.
Onike made the call on Saturday when the leadership of NASFAT to Professor Nurudeen Adedipe, the pioneer Pro-Chancellor of Fountain University Osogbo, Osun, in his Ikorodu home.
Onike said the project of nation building was a joint responsibility of all the citizenry, which should not be left for the government alone.
”We should take part in making our country great, we should assist the government in taking Nigeria to the next level,” he said.
The President of Nasfat, Engr. Kamil Bolarinwa, also urged Nigerians to look forward to participating in the forthcoming elections in a peaceful manner.
”We want election that will make our votes count, so that people vote without fear of being molested or fear of violence.
”Government should provide an enabling environment so that the turnout will be huge and elections will be successful,” he said.
While thanking the delegation for the visit, Prof. Adedipe said that nurturing Fountain University was his own contribution to the educational development of Nigeria.
“I contributed to the development of the younger generation without considering it as doing something fantastic, but now that people are appreciating it, all glory should be given to God.
He said that he was happy with the growth and development of the university and congratulated the proprietor of the school NASFAT, for the good job it is doing.
