LASPARK plans concert to celebrate Easter

Mrs Bilikiss Adebiyi-Abiola, the General Manager of Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency (LASPARK), on Thursday said its planned concert to mark Easter on April 20, would enable citizens to share knowledge through digital games.

Adebiyi-Abiola in a statement said the concert with its theme “ Networking in the Modern Age’’ would also afford private citizens from all walks of life the opportunity to network toward a resourceful society.

According to her, the concert is to bring together people in a tranquil environment to have a fun-filled Easter celebration.

“This is to break people’s social inhibition by creating an interactive platform where they could exhibit their innate talents to proffer solutions to socio-economic impediments bedeviling the society in a more relaxed environment.

“The concert will take place at Johnson Jakande Tinubu (JJT) Park, Alausa, Ikeja.

“The concert will hold simultaneously in most of the state’s recreational parks with tailored programmes designed to meet the needs of the locals residing within the axis.

“It is organised as part of the state government’s commitment to improve the social life of the citizenry by connecting them with opportunities inherent in the contemporary recreation and digital networking.

“The programme is another affirmation of government’s commitment to lead the way in exposing its citizens to the concurrent benefits of communal interaction.

“To also build a society that is sufficiently capable of dealing with social challenges that are likely to erupt as the world is constantly changing its face,’’ she said.

Adebiyi-Abiola said the concert which was meant to expose participants to the new leadership skills, entrepreneurial ingenuity and social innovation, would also feature team bonding exercises and exhibitions from non-governmental organisations.

She, however, urged the public to avail themselves the opportunity to lift their physiological experience as free medical consultations, product fair and series of enthralling competitions would feature during the programme.
