Oke-Ogun Polytechnic rector, principal officers, suspended over alleged fraud, misconduct

The governing council of Oke Ogun Polytechnic in Oyo state has suspended the rector of the institution, Mr. Mathew Oladeji and some principal officers in the institution over alleged gross misconducts.

The suspension order was contained in a memo signed by the council’s chairman, Prof. Moshood Tijani.

The council, in a letter sent to Governor Abiola Ajimobi through the Commissioner for Education, Prof Adeniyi Olowofela, noted that the affected officers had been queried in respect of “series of allegations of fraudulent practices and gross misconduct.”

It was gathered that the governing council had earlier constituted a five–man investigation panel at one of its meetings to give the concerned officers fair hearing.
