17 ships with petroleum products, food items expected — NPA

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) says it is expecting 17 ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods from Jan. 15 to Feb. 15.

 The NPA made this known in its publication, `Shipping Position’, a copy of which was made available  in Lagos on Wednesday.

 According to it, the ships are expected to arrive at the Lagos Port Complex.

 It said that the ships contained petrol, containers, general cargo, frozen fish, bulk salt, bulk sugar, steel prod and bulk wheat.

 NPA said that 22 ships had arrived the ports, waiting to berth with containers, bulk wheat and fuel.

 The organisation also said that 22 other ships were at the ports discharging general cargo, containers, bulk wheat, bulk sugar, petrol, frozen fish, gypsum and base oil.
