Traditional Rulers from Epe division in Lagos State have unanimously endorsed Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Candidate for the Governorship election in the state.

The traditional rulers are those of Epe, Eredo and Agbowa-Ikosin.

The monarchs made the declaration at the palace of Oba Kamorudeen Animashahun, the Oloja of Epe Land, on Friday.

The motion for the endorsement of Babajide Sanwoolu was moved by Oba Babatunde Ogunlaja, on behalf of the monarchs in Epe.

He was seconded by Oba Ganiyu Asumo, the Oba of Alanyadelu, in Eredo LCDA, near Epe.

In his speech, Oba Kamorudeen Animashahun, the Oloja of Epe, said that the endorsement of Sanwo-olu was a collective resolution reached by all the traditional rulers in the community.

Animashahun said that the endorsement became necessary for the progress and development of the Epe community.

He appealed to the APC governorship candidate not to neglect the ongoing road construction in the locality.

“Epe has not enjoyed the dividends of democracy enough.

“The performance of the incumbent government in the community is commendable but more still needs to be done.

“Some of the road projects in the division are yet to be completed. I appeal to you, Sanwoolu to kindly complete the projects for us, ” he said.

Also speaking, Oba Babatunde Ogunlaja, the Aladeshonye II, of Noforija, in Eredo LCDA, near Epe, said that the progress and community development of Epe division was the priority of all the traditional rulers in the division.

“The royal blessings showered on Sanwo-olu today will pave way for victory.

“Royal blessing is not what to play with, but will be as prophesied by the royal fathers, ” he said.

Oba Ganiyu Asunmo, the Alayandelu of Odoyanlu, in Eredo, near Epe, urged his subjects and other community members to give Sanwo-olu their support.

“I urge all the residents of Epe to give their support to the APC governorship candidate in Lagos state.

“This is necessary for residents of Epe to continue enjoying the development and growth that the administration will bring,” he said.

Earlier, Mr Babajide Sanwo-olu, the APC governorship candidate, pledged to complete the ongoing projects in Epe division.

“I will run an all-inclusive government. I will ensure that all the uncompleted projects are completed, ” he said.
