Stop entering vehicles from un designated parks, FRSC warns public

By Aliyu DANLADI

The Itori Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) in Ogun has advised the public to desist from entering vehicles at undesignated parks across the state, in order not to fall victims of criminals during and after the Yuletide period.

The Itori Unit Commander of FRSC, Mr Aliyu Yahaya, , gave the advice on Thursday in Ota, Ogun.

According to him, nobody will be able to identify any of such vehicles when they perpetuate their evil acts.

“People boarding vehicles from undesignated parks and garages are prone to high risks, especially kidnapping and robbery and sometimes, ritual activities, because it would be difficult to give any meaningful information about them,’’ he said.

Yahaya also said that such vehicles who do not load from designated parks were always flouting traffic rules and regulations that could sometimes lead to loss of lives and property, due to crashes.

The unit commander, however, advised members of the public to call the FRSC toll-number 122, in case of emergency, crashes and obstructions on the roads.

He also implored motorists to stop at the nearest office of the FRSC, if they noted any strange development on the highways during the festive period
