Ngozi Nkwoji, the Portfolio Manager, Non-Alcoholic Brands, said that the Super Falcons of Nigeria overtime had proven the power of women through their achievements at FIFA World Championships.

Nkwoji said on Friday night at the Cross Roads restaurant, Victoria’s Island, Lagos during the launch of the media ad, that Amstel Malta was a proud supporter of the Nigerian Super Falcons to the tournament.

She added that for qualifying for the 8th FIFA Women’s World Cup taking place in France from June 7 to July 7, Nigeria’s Super Falcons deserved a lot of credit.

“The Super Falcons have overtime proven the power of women and we at Amstel Malta are endearing Nigerians to join us as we cheer them on to gold at the World Cup.”

“The Super Falcons continually prove themselves to be unmistakable symbols of heroism thereby showcasing the power of women.

“With this knowledge, Amstel Malta has launched a daring campaign themed “We’ve Got Balls” to celebrate and highlight the strength, fortitude and bravery of the Nigerian woman who against all odds, thrives and wins.

“The campaign features a historic all-female cast and crew with Nollywood, music and entertainment stars like Tiwa Savage, Dakore Egbuso– Akande, Tonto Dikeh, Ihuoma Linda Ejiofor–Suleiman and Cynthia Nwadiora (Cee C).

“ The campaign also features Super Falcon players; Asisat Oshoala, Onome Ebi, Rita Chikwelu, Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene and Tochukwu Oluehi.

“Amstel Malta offers its encouragement and support to help keep the winning spirit of the Super Falcons alive at the FIFA Women’s World Cup France in June.

“We believe that it is important to celebrate women in our society who take on outstanding feats and come out on top.

“By lifting the veil on the power of women It shows the rest of the country, the continent and indeed the world what Nigerian women are capable of .

“It also proves that and these women who have proved themselves to be the best in Africa, epitomize that”. She concluded.

The “We’ve Got Balls” ad campaign was produced and captured by award-winning movie and music video director, Kemi Adetiba and leading contemporary Nigerian photographer, Yetunde Ayeni-Babaeko.

Similarly, Precious Dede, an ex-international said that the support would go a long way in spurring the players to do well in France and could go all the way to the semifinals of the competition.

“Sincerely I feel so great about the support the team is enjoying, indeed it is the kind of awareness and support the team deserve to excel in France.

“Amstel Malta indeed deserves a lot of credit for their efforts in repositioning women’s football especially the Super Falocns.
