NUPRC to host forum with 2020 marginal field bid round awardees

NUPRC to host forum with 2020 marginal field bid round awardees

The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) is set to host eligible awardees who have fully or partly complied with signature bonus payment in the 2020 Marginal Field Bid Round (MFBR) programme.

The Commission Chief Executive, Mr Gbenga Komolafe, who made this known in a statement on Tuesday, said the forum was slated for Thursday, at Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.

Komolafe stated that the objective of the engagement forum was to state the policy position of the commission for the marginal field bid round to enable progress of the exercise.

This, he said, was in line with the programme guidelines and in compliance with the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) 2021.

He said the forum would also appraise, distil and clarify issues associated with the MFBR and provide relevant updates on status to all stakeholders in line with transparency policy of government.

“All eligible awardees and relevant International Oil Companies (IOC) who are associated with the MFBR are expected to attend the meeting,” Komolafe said.
