Consolidated Hallmark Insurance proposes 2K final dividend

The Board of Directors of Consolidated Hallmark Insurance Plc, which held its board meeting on 22nd February 2022, has approved the 2021 full year audited financial results and also proposed a final dividend of 2Kobo per ordinary share of 50Kobo.

However, the company notified the Exchange and general public yesterday through a letter signed by the Company Secretary, Rukevwe Falana, that the proposed dividend is subject to the company’s primary regulator, National Insurance Commission’s (NAICOM) approval of the 2021 audited financial statements.

Meanwhile, on the floor of the Exchange yesterday, investors transacted 336.305 million shares worth N5.860 billion across 5,248 deals. The twin major market indicators went northward with an increase of 0.28 per cent respectively.

Market capitalization added N71 billion to close at N25.485 trillion while the All-Share Index added 132.74 basis points.

The drive, in the indicators, was as a result of the most capitalized stocks adding to their unit price worth with thirty equities appreciating in price value against the twelve equities with price depreciation.

Leading the gainers table was Presco with price again of 10 percent a gain of N10.45 to close at N114.95 followed by Pharma Deko with price gain 9.89 per cent an increase of N0.18 to close at N2.00.

Others on the top ten most appreciated were Linkage Assurance, Royal Exchange, RT Briscoe, Transcorp, Mutual Benefit, LASACO, NEM Insurance and Wapic Insurance.

On the losers table, Ellahlakes led with a drop of 9.92 per cent to close at N3.45 followed by May &Baker with price drop of 9.91 per cent to close at N4.91. Also on the table were Neimeth, Niger Insurance, Cutix, Caverton, UPL, Jaiz Bank, ChiPlc, Zenith Bank, UACN and GTCO.
