UNN student Miss Eze wins 2023 Future Creative Leaders Academy Prize

By Miracle Ogbonna
Miss Chinalurumogu Eze, a third-year student in the department of mass communication, University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) is the winner of the 2023 Future Creative Leaders Academy (FCLA) Prize.
This prize entitles her to attend the Roger Hatchuel Student Academy taking place during the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in France from Monday, June 19 to Friday, June 23.
She was proclaimed the winner on March 29 by CHINI Africa after the international jury made their choice.
Miss Eze made history by becoming the first student from her institution to join the academy at the international level.
The participants were asked to create a two-minute video to showcase their creativity and explain why they deserve a place in the Roger Hatchuel Student Academy reserved for only 30 select students from around the world.
Miss Eze was nominated by her department, along with two others in her class, Miss Ifeoma Aroh and Mr. Felix Udochukwu.
The Record (in-house publication of the department) gathered that this is the 17th year of organising the FCLA and selecting students for Cannes Lions Roger Hatchuel Student Academy, a programme fully sponsored by CHINI Africa, organisers of the Pitcher Festival of Creativity and Cannes Lions official festival representative in Nigeria.
The Pitcher Festival of Creativity’s FCLA is a youth programme for university and tertiary institution students, aimed at providing an inspiring platform for intensive learning, talent discovery and professional development in the advertising and marketing communications industry.
Recall that Miss Eze, in December 2022, also created another record by winning the Youth Digest Campus Journalist of the Year award, thus becoming the first student to bring the award to a South-East Nigeria university, UNN, and emerging as the second female winner ever.
