A Kano High Court sitting in Miller Road has sentenced a Chinese national, Frank Geng-Quangrong to dead by hanging for killing his girlfriend in Kano in 2022.
Justice Sanusi Ado-Ma’aji in a ruling on Tuesday said the accused was found guilty of the offence, and then convicted and sentenced to him to death by hanging till he breaths his last.
LEADERSHIP recalls that Geng-Quangrong was arrested and remanded by the police for culpable homicide in September 2022 over the murder of his 22 year old girlfriend Ummukulsum Buhari, at her residence in Janbulo quarters, Kumbotso LGA of Kano.
Prosecution stated that the offence contravened the provision of Section 221(b) of the Penal Code Law.
