NIPCO boss reiterates commitment to human capital development

The Managing Director, NIPCO Plc, Sanjay Teotia has reiterated the company’s commitment towards continuous support to human capital development as key element of driving the organization exemplary service delivery to our stakeholders with the hope that things get on well in the sector.

Teotia who disclosed this in his address at the company’s long service Award Ceremony in Lagos, while he avowed his commitment in realization of the company’s human capital as the greatest asset of the organization.

He said that the management will continue to place high premium on human capital development and hope to improve NIPCO employment status with opportunities for more vibrant and experienced personnel in creating more efficient workforce in the event of improved operating environment in the sector.

“It is with profound joy that I joined colleagues to felicitate with employees of NIPCO who have meritoriously served the company for a decade in providing exemplary service in the nation’s hydrocarbon industry.

“This assemblage is a delight for all attendees especially the honorees for having worked for the company for over ten years meritoriously.

“This ceremony is part of management measures to appreciate all the awardees for their dedication to work and most importantly in keying into the vision of the company’s vision to be the first choice in the Oil and Gas industry to all stakeholders,’’ he said.

Taotia said: “We would continue to recognize and motivate employees  to deliver best performance on their job as today’s event is part of management policy to raise the morale of the awardees and further lift them to higher productivity.

He urged awardees to continue to upheld the culture of excellence and integrity the company is note for as it is no mean achievement to have worked diligently for ten unbroken years contributing to the company’s growth

“Management is happy celebrating you having devoted a sizeable chunk of your working career to the growth of the company in its bid to remain a benchmark in the industry.

“ Your contributions remain one of the major indices of measuring the growth of the company among its peers .

The managing director said that the event is also to attest to how management values their contribution to the growing pedigree of the company in the downstream sector even in the face of plethora of daunting challenges.

He said the sector which is partly regulated by government is facing some threats occasioned by the continuous regulation which is having a toll on the margins for operators, a feat that increased the clamor for full deregulation of petroleum products marketing in the country

According to him, I urge all employees not to relent on their efforts at increasing their productivity in a conscious to grow the bottom line of the company.

“Once again, I congratulate all awardees and wish them more fruitful service to the company.,’’ he added.
