DPR boss reiterates commitment on effective delivery of mandate

Mr Mordecai Ladan, the Director of the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) has reiterated the organisation’s commitment to ensuring effective delivery of its regulatory mandate for the oil and gas industry.

He also  assured that the DPR would exceed stakeholders’ expectations.

Ladan was quoted to have given the assurance, in a statement signed by Mr Paul Osu, Head, Public Affairs of the agency,  on Thursday in Lagos after receiving an award from TEXEM UK.

The award which was presented to the director in Abuja was in recognition of the director’s outstanding contributions, inspiring regulatory leadership policies, interventions and stakeholders engagement with industry players.

While presenting the award on behalf of the Advisory Board of TEXEM UK, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr Alim Abubakre rolled out  the exemplary leadership and huge successes of Ladan in the Nigerian oil and gas sector.

Abubakre congratulated the director for emerging  winner of the award while informing on the methodology of the selection process by a team of professionals.

According to him , 60 distinguished leaders were shortlisted from a pool of 400 nominations by the public, based on track records, professionalism and comparison with peers in the award category.

He said Ladan emerged winner from a  list of three finalists.

Accepting the award,  from the CEO of TEXEM UK, Ladan thanked the delegation and organisation for the special recognition.

The director said he would continue in entrenching accountability and transparency in meeting government’s objectives and aspirations.

TEXEM is an acronym for ‘These Executive Minds’and It is a United Kingdom based company that facilitated and delivered dynamic development programs for top level executives, directors and senior managers across the private and public sectors in Africa.
