COVID-19 Spreads To Imo As Nigeria Confirms 87 New Cases

Nigeria has confirmed 87 new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) on Saturday.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced in a tweet that the new figure brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 1,182.

A breakdown of the new cases showed that Imo state had recorded its first case of COVID-19.

The NCDC said Lagos recorded 33 new cases, Borno 18, Osun 12, Katsina 9, and Kano 4 cases.

Others were Ekiti with 4 cases, Edo 2, and Bauchi 3 cases.

“As at 11:55 pm 25th April there are 1182 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Discharged: 222, Deaths: 35,” said the Centre
