Rainy season: Eko DisCo urges customers to stay safe, assures improved supply

Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) has urged its customers to observe all safety tips and advisory during the rainy season to avoid the risk of electrocution and other safety hazards.

The General Manager, Corporate Communications of EKEDC, Godwin Idemudia, stated this in Lagos, assuring customers of improved electricity supply during the season.

Idemudia said: “Heavy and constant rainfalls have started as we have experienced over the last few days. We admonish our customers to be safety conscious during this period and be wary of flooded and dangerous areas. Please steer clear of electrical installations and high-tension lines as they are more dangerous during this season”.

He appealed to customers to cooperate with officials of the company in their bid to improve supply and services to them. He berated customers who participate in meter bypass and energy theft for safety and legal concerns. He added that officials of the company are on the move for thorough inspections and anyone caught in these acts will face the full wrath of the law.

Idemudia urged customers to report any potential electricity hazard spotted by them immediately through [email protected], Customer care line: 07080655555, social media and other available communication channels. He pleaded with customers to observe all the safety measures and guidelines laid down by the Federal and State governments to stop the spread of the Covid-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

He further urged customers to pay their electricity bills on time to avoid disconnection or running out of units through ekedp.com and all other dedicated collection channels and partners stating that it is the major source of revenue for the company to keep investing in its network thereby improving supply.
