NIN registration commences at Glo retail shops

Registration of Nigerians for the National Identification Number (NIN) has commenced at several of Globacom’s one-stop retail shops across the country.

The company in a statement said it has already deployed devices aligned with NIMC standards and kick-started the exercise in several Gloworld shops, while arrangements have been perfected for retail outlets in other parts of the country to join.

This is sequel to the approval licence granted the telecommunications giant by Nigerian Identity Management Commission (NIMC) for the enrolment of citizens who are yet to register.

“Subscribers who have secured their NIN but have not linked them with their mobile numbers can do so by simply texting their NIN to 109. Alternatively, they may dial *109# to submit their NIN. Customers can also call 109 to update their NIN via voice call,” Glo said.

The telecommunications solutions provider enjoined those having additional enquiries to contact any of its customer contact channels or visit https://www.gloworld.com/ng/nin for further support.

It equally restated commitment to seeing to it that customers enjoy seamless experience on its network while pledging continued support for government’s efforts geared towards creating a secure and sustainable communications industry in the country.
