NPA expects 23 ships with petroleum products, food items

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) says it is expecting 23 ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods from March 23 to April 8.

The NPA made this known in its publication,`Shipping Position,’ a copy of which was made available  in Lagos on Monday.

According to it, the ships are expected to arrive at the TinCan Island Port Complex.

The publication said that the ships contained containers, bulk wheat, used vehicles, bulk malt and automobile gasoline.

NPA reports that 17 ships had arrived the ports, waiting to berth with containers, automobile gasoline and fuel.

Also, the organisation said that 18 other ships are at the ports discharging container, bulk sugar, petrol and automobile gasoline.

It added that there was two voyage cancellation on March 12 and 23 carrying crude oil and container respectively.
