Terrorists attack Nigeria’s Kaduna airport, kill NAMA staff

AZMAN aircraft, scheduled to take off to Lagos at about 12.30pm, could not because of the presence of the terrorists by the runways of the airport
Terrorists on Saturday reportedly attacked the Kaduna International Airport, preventing an AZMAN aircraft from taking off at the facility.
The terrorists also, according to reports, killed
a security personnel attached to the Very high Frequency Omni-directional Range ( OVR) of the Nigerian Aviation Management Agency (NAMA) at the runway area of the airport.
Quoring sources, a report by Solacebase,noted that the AZMAN aircraft, scheduled to take off to Lagos at about 12.30pm, could not because of the presence of the bandits by the runways of the airport.
“As I speak to you now, there is already military presence to beef up security , though most of the staff are scared with the killing of the NAMA staff,” the source said, further disclosing that more than 10 trucks of the Nigerian military were reinforced to the airport

Assistant General Manager of AZMAN Air confimed to the Business Intelligence (TBI Africa) said :The story going was a fake news, there is nothing happened at the vicinity of the airport, what we can recall is the Airport commandant instructed the control tower not to give us clearance to take up untill he give nod because they were engaging the bandits in the bush (not within the perimeter of the airport), person in the airport couldn’t hear the gunshots, after some minutes he gave the control a nod to give us clearance, the aircraft chocks on at 12:36 hrs and Airborne at 13:48hrs i.e it spend 1hr 12 minutes on ground.
“We just receive a news that NAMA are going to close the airspace because between tomorrow and next soldiers will fully engage the bandits and ensure normalcy is return.
