President Bola Tinubu has urged Nigerians to remain steadfast and supportive of ongoing reforms, emphasising that true national transformation requires sacrifice from all citizens.

In his Easter message to Nigerians at home and abroad on Friday, Tinubu reflected on the spiritual significance of the season, highlighting resilience, sacrifice, and triumph over adversity as guiding principles not only for faith but also for nation-building.

“The ongoing reforms, though demanding in their immediate impact, have been carefully put together and backed by a strong commitment to take us to a shared prosperity.

“As I have often said, true transformation cannot be achieved without sacrifice, and history affirms that enduring progress is often forged in moments such as these,” he said.

Acknowledging the persistent security and economic challenges facing the country, the president praised the gallant efforts of the Armed Forces in confronting terrorists and bandits, while assuring that his administration continues to provide resources and forge foreign partnerships to deliver decisive action.

Tinubu also called on Nigerians to uphold unity, civic responsibility, and peaceful participation, particularly as the nation approaches another electoral cycle.

He emphasised that democracy thrives when citizens exercise responsibility, restraint, and informed participation.

“Easter encourages us that even as present conditions put pressure on many, economic indicators show that we are making the right choices. A new dawn is on the horizon,” Tinubu said.

The president concluded by thanking Nigerians for their support and trust in his administration, urging them to continue contributing to the country’s progress for a more prosperous, secure, and democratic Nigeria.
