Millions of commuters have been stranded and unable to travel with ease as snowstorm continued to persist across cities of the United States.
The affected areas in the North-East and Mid-Atlantic region of the country witnessed dangerous driving conditions caused by the snowstorm, New York Times reported.
Earlier this week, some commuters were also slammed by a significant snowstorm which impeded ease of movement.
Following the blanketing of snow in the area on Friday, the Weather Service noted that the air and roadway temperatures were near or below the freezing mark, adding that commuting had become “treacherous.”
In the New York region, winter weather advisories has warned that more severe conditions were in place for Suffolk County on Long Island, Middlesex County in New Jersey, and New London County in Connecticut.
During a weather forecast, the National Weather Service warned that the Washington area, which was slammed days ago with more than eight inches of snow, was expected to get another round.
According to officials, federal offices in Washington have been shut down.
Some schools, on Friday, also adjusted their operations as the Washington mayor, Muriel Bowser, declared the closure of schools due to the storm.
