9 ships with petrol, others waiting to berth at Lagos ports

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) says nine ships carrying petrol, base oil, bulk wheat, bulk salt, container and bulk gypsum have arrived the ports and are waiting to berth.

NPA in its Daily Shipping Position’ on Thursday,  said that  18 other ships at the ports were discharging bulk wheat, frozen fish, general cargo, container, bulk sugar, bulk steam coal, petrol and bulk urea.

It said that 20 ships also laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods were expected from Aug. 4 to 20.

The authority said the ships were expected to arrive at the Lagos Port Complex.

It indicated that the ships contained general cargo, bulk gypsum, bulk urea, container, frozen fish, bulk wheat, butane gas, base oil, soya bean, bulk sugar, jet fuel, pet coke and automobile gasoline.
